HCC Trip Report, Sunday Oct 18th 2026, Grade A, Easterly F1/2

Perfect conditions for a Lower Clyde round.
Parked in the small area just below the ferry car park. Surprised to see a small crowd on the pier end on a Sunday when the regular ferry runs Mon – Sat. Decided on a clockwise route towards Greenoch and Cloch Lighthouse. The Waverly majestically steamed by on its last Clyde outing of the year, explaining the crowd on Kilcreggan Pier.
Headed over to the Gantocks where slack water made for a lovely paddle through the rocks. Lunch in the sun on Dunoon’s south beach.
Just enough steam in our boilers to get back across the entrances to the Holy Loch and Loch Long.
A great way to spend a sunny mid-October Sunday.
